I graduated from Murray State University in Murray, Ky., with a Bachelor of Science in print journalism and a minor in equine science in 2005. After an internship in media relations at Hoosier Park Racetrack in Anderson, Ind., I had the chance of a lifetime to do an internship at the American Quarter Horse Association in Amarillo, Texas, for the publications department. I’ve worked for a few different equine publications through the years and am still freelancing today for different magazines including the NRHA Reiner magazine, the American Quarter Horse Journal, and Western Shooting Horse Magazine.
